NABA, Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti Milano is an education Academy of Fine Arts and Design, founded in 1980 by Ausonio Zappa, is the largest private academy in Italy. In 1980 it was legally recognized by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR). NABA issues BA and MA degrees that are equivalent to university degrees in Design, Fashion Design, Graphics, Multimedia Arts, Communication, Theatre Design, Visual Arts. The Bachelor and Master Programs lead to the attainment of legally recognized degrees and to the achievement of educational credits that allow students to continue their studies in Italian and foreign academies and universities. NABA is a private Academy that was founded in Milan in 1980 on the initiative of Ausonio Zappa, Guido Ballo and Gianni Colombo, who aimed at challenging the rigid academic tradition by introducing new visions and languages closed to contemporary artistic practice and the creative and artistic professions. In late 2009, the Academy became part of the Laureate International Universities Network, a global network of more than 60 accredited institutions of higher education offering undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs to over 675,000 students around the world.
