　　The University of California, Irvine (UCI) offers qualified students from non-US universities the opportunity to study on the UCI. Each accepted student will be provided a program of study customized for his/her particular goals and objectives consisting of a combination of English language instruction, regular undergraduate courses offered to UCI undergraduates, and courses offered through University Extension. This program known as the International Undergraduate Preparation Program.

　　Higher education at the graduate level in a top American university is considered by many international students to be a necessity for achieving their academic and career goals. The skills required for admission to these advanced degree programs, however, are difficult for those unfamiliar with western academic culture.
