　　“中国教育国际论坛”是中国教育国际交流协会在年会期间主办，以促进教育、科技、文化事业的发展，积极推进中国教育界同世界各国、各地区开展广泛交流与合作为主旨的综合性大型国际会议。

　　“中国教育国际论坛”经中国教育部批准，每年举办一届，自2000年起已成功举办两届，是中国境内教育界唯一同时兼备国际会议及展览功能的全国性国际交流盛会，层次高、规模大、社会影响广泛。

　　本届国际论坛的主题为“经济全球化与教育发展”。中国教育部领导、诺贝尔奖得主、联合国教科文组织、经济合作与发展组织高级官员、国内外著名教育学家、世界著名大学和教育组织的领导人、中外著名跨国公司总裁等将作为主题演讲嘉宾。他们将就“经济全球化与教育改革和发展”，“加入WTO后中国教育面临的挑战、机遇和发展前景”，“经济全球化对人才素质和人才培养方式提出的要求”，“经济全球化与多元文化交流及传统文化的继承与发扬”，“经济全球化形式下的道德教育”，“经济全球化形式下的国际人才流动与人力资源开发”，“经济全球化形式下的教育国际合作与交流的多样性”等问题进行全方位、深层次的探讨，让与会者分享他们的真知灼见。

　　此外，本届论坛暨展览会同时开设一系列的专题论坛及专题研讨会，包括（1）“中美地方/州立大学校长研讨会”，（2）“中外合作办学研讨会”，（3）“转型经济与教育专题论坛”，（4）“职业技术教育国际合作专题论坛”，（5）“民办教育国际合作论坛”，（6）“研究型大学及重点学科国际合作专题论坛”，以及“AFS国际高中学生文化交流项目研讨”等。

　　来自世界各国的资深学者、著名教育机构负责人、经验丰富的教育投资者等众多教育界、经济界、理论界、工商界的权威、巨擘将作为独立演讲人和对话伙伴，与20多个国家和地区著名教育机构的代表，国内有关省教育厅领导、主要大学校长、公立学校、民办学校、培训机构、成人教育机构、教育研究机构及关注、从事教育投资的工商企业代表等500多人，围绕本届论坛主题和专题进行多角度、多层面、形式多样、互动的交流、交友、展示、启发、展望与谋划的沟通与合作。

　　3rd China International Forum on Education, as a part of 2002 CEAIE Annual Conference, aims at promoting the development of education, culture, and science, and enhancing the exchanges and cooperation between Chinese educational and industrial community and the other parts of the world.

　　The event is approved by the Ministry of Education of PRC, and held annually. Since 2000, it has already been held successfully twice and it is the only activity in Chinese educational circles with both international conference function as well as international exhibition function, thus the event enjoys the reputation as a grand exchange occasion with large scale, high-ranking participation, and quite extensive social influence in Chinese education field.

　　The theme of this year's forum is “Economic Globalization and Education Development”. At the forum session we have invited the following distinguished guests to make keynote speeches： senior leaders from Ministry of Education of PRC； senior officials from World Bank and UNESCO； famous educators； leaders of world famous education institutions and CEOs of well-known multinational corporations. Under the forum's theme, they will conduct comprehensive and in-depth discussions about： “Economic Globalization and Education Reform and Development”, “Challenges, Opportunities and Prospects Faced by Education after China's Entry into WTO”, “Demands on Qualities and Fostering Models of Talents Raised by Economic Globalization”, “Moral Education in the Environment of Economic Globalization”, “International Talents Mobility and Human Resource Development in Economic Globalization”, “Diversity of International Education Cooperation and Exchange in Economic Globalization”, etc., so that participants of the forum and exhibition can share their insightful opinions on education.

　　Apart from the forum session, we have organized several featured seminars providing further chances for people with similar interests to communicate and cooperate. They are： Leadership of Higher Learning in the 21st Century, China Int抣 Cooperation Education Symposium & Workshop, Transition Economy and Education, Sino-Canadian Collaboration on Vocational & Technical Education of the New Century, Non-State-Run Education Institutions and their International Cooperation, International Collaboration among Research Universities and Key Disciplines, AFS Intercultural Exchange （High School Student Exchange） Program, etc.

　　Scholars and Executives from famous educational institutions and organizations, experienced education investors and officers from different nations will be present in these featured seminars. Some of them will make a speech in a seminar； some will discuss a certain educational problem and phenomenon in different dialogue workshops. Over 700 participants from about 20 countries will present the forum at that time. Majority of them are decision-makers in their own work units, such public schools, presidents of notable universities, directors from famous training centers, adult education institutions as well as education research institutions, etc. The forum has become a good platform in which many interactive activities take place among participants. In spite of gathering information there, participants from different sectors can also inspire ideas, exchange opinions, make friends, solve problems, and find cooperation opportunities.
